Wedding Welcome Signs - Elle Bee Design

Wedding Welcome Signs

Perfect for welcoming guests to your big day and / or evening reception, our wedding welcome signs convey the style of your wedding to guests and compliment the other elements of your theme.

Our welcome signs are professionally-printed externally onto lightweight but rigid foamex board in either 5mm standard thickness or 10mm luxe thickness in an A1 size (594mm x 841mm).

Other options include printing in a choice of ink colours and including 6mm hanging holes if making use of a venue or stylist's hanging frame.

Wedding Welcome Signs - Information

What sizes of welcome sign do you offer?

Our welcome signs are provided in an A1 size (594mm x 841mm). If you require an alternative size then please contact us.

Do you offer double-sided printing?

Not as standard. If you do need double-sided printing as a custom order then please contact us for a quote.

Can I have a custom shape?

We do have the ability to have foamex cut to shape such as arched or wavy. If you need this please contact us for more details.

How can I include a custom phrase?

Our designs are very flexible and adjustments can be made in proofing after your order is placed.

Some of our welcome signs already have phrases that can easily be replaced with your own choice. But if the design you choose doesn't have this then we'll easily be able to include it for you.

Are colour choices an exact match to your papers?

No. We have created a number of shades that have been inspired by our paper colours but whilst they may be at times similar, they won't be an exact match.

Foamex by default is white so colour is generated by using ink (and white on a dark coloured background will be the absence of print).

You can choose the colours when ordering but this can be changed in proofing before we go to print if needed. Our advice is that if you're concerned about getting the perfect shade then opt for white.

I want a themed welcome sign, can you help?

This will honestly depend on the theme you're looking to incorporate, as we can work on a bespoke basis if needed.

One thing we won't do is touch copyright material, such as Harry Potter, Disney, Marvel, etc.

How will I display a welcome sign at my venue?

In most cases an easel will be perfect for displaying your signage and we’ve chosen 5mm / 10mm foamex – as opposed to 3mm, or mountboard – to ensure the sign doesn’t bow when added to an easel.

All signs also have the option for holes to be added in the top corners to provide you with the option of hanging from a decorative frame.

How long does a welcome sign take?

It’s likely that your welcome sign will be part of a larger order for multiple stationery and signage items; in which case we’d suggest placing your order 6-8 weeks before your wedding date so we can proof all items before approval.

If you’re ordering a welcome sign alone then you will receive the board within 1 week of proofing approval and, as proofing is limited with a welcome sign, that stage of the process is normally concluded very quickly.

How are welcome signs shipped?

Welcome signs are sent via a tracked courier service in rigid, protective packaging. This will be sent separately to other stationery items so if you have smaller items as well you can expect two consignments.

You also have the option to collect from our studio if preferred.

What is Foamex and is it the same as Cardstock?

Foamex refers to a branded foamed PVC (polyvinyl chloride) sheet material that is valued for being both lightweight and rigid, while also offering strong durability. Its surface is slightly textured and non-porous, which makes it particularly well-suited for processes such as printing, cutting, and various forms of fabrication, including wedding signage. Due to the slight texture of foamex, any printed elements have a different print consistency to that of cardstock.

Foamex is not cardstock and is available in white as standard. Colour can be added by way of ink, however as noted in our Terms and Conditions, exact replication of colour is not possible. If colour is important, we recommend opting for a white board with black text.
