Elle Bee Terms & Conditions
Sadly, even wedding invitations and stationery are subject to “the legal bit”. We would therefore recommend that you take time to read through the following Terms & Conditions – payment for an order is acceptance of these terms and orders are provided on the basis that a customer has read, understood and accepted them.

All orders are completed via quote only, accompanied by these Terms & Conditions. Quotes are available upon request. In order to provide an accurate illustration of cost, you must supply exact numbers of the items required. Quotes are valid for 30 days and we reserve the right to change our prices without notice or consultation.
Lead times and any production availability check will be provided at the time of issuing a formal quotation.
All payments are to be submitted by BACS. Elle Bee does not currently offer payment plans.
3. Ordering & Payments / Save The Dates & Invitations
Our collections are split into two types; fully-handmade that require the allocation of a production slot and digitally-printed / hand-finished, that are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If an order requires the allocation of a production slot this can be booked either with a 50% deposit or payment in full. In the event of paying by deposit, the balance will be payable no later than eight weeks before production is due to start.
For orders that don’t require a production slot, or where the production would be within the next 8 weeks, the order will be payable in full.
Commencement of your order and our purchase of the required materials will not begin until your order has been paid for in full.
4. Ordering & Payments / Day Stationery
For couples that are ordering Day Stationery from us in isolation, the process as outlined above for Save The Dates & Invitations applies (Section 3).
However, for customers that are looking to order Invitations and Day Stationery at the same time, the following terms and guidelines apply. If your Day Stationery requirement is subject to a production slot, upon ordering your Invitations a 50% non-refundable deposit is required, based upon the estimated requirements and quantities. If you wish to cancel your Day Stationery order, this 50% deposit will not be subject to refunds due to the previous allocation of a production slot which likely cannot now be filled.
The final balance for your Day Stationery will be payable 8 weeks prior to your production slot. If payment is not received within a week of your payment deadline, your slot will be cancelled, and your deposit will remain the property of Elle Bee.
In the event of quantities being adjusted after receipt of RSVPs, the remaining balance will be adjusted but not below the original 50% deposit. Please note that once the final balance is paid, quantities of items cannot be amended.
It is important that couples build overages into their requirements to cover for changing circumstances. All orders are fulfilled on a made-to-order basis, where materials are ordered in bulk to ensure that individual order can be fulfilled.
Where additional quantities are required after the initial requirement is fulfilled, Elle Bee reserves the right to charge additional fees to cover for increased supplier and delivery costs.
6. Short Notice Orders
Several of our collections are fully-handmade from scratch and therefore cannot be accommodated on a short notice basis. We would always recommend contacting us before committing to an order and, if your request is for a date that we cannot accommodate, we will not accept the order.
For those of our collections that are digitally-printed the above constraints do not apply.
In the unfortunate event of a cancellation being required, all money paid to-date will remain the property of Elle Bee, as will any materials ordered or items created.
Samples are offered for each of our collections in formats listed on our website. Colour-customised and text-personalised samples are not offered, and Elle Bee reserves the right to provide samples in colour schemes and / or materials that are available at that time.
Before work can being on your order you will be sent a request for your information by email to begin the electronic proofing process; this proofing process includes both content and ink colour for printing. The entire proofing process must be completed via email and must be completed on-time to ensure that the production of your order can be fulfilled to a schedule.
Proofs with mock-up print files are sent by email and we arrange two further rounds of proofs included within the cost of your order. Any subsequent proofs required due to customer requirements are charged at £5 per round, which must be paid before any additional proofs are created and sent.
It is the customer’s responsibility to check all proofs received for errors. Elle Bee cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies.
The signing off process takes place via a website link and form; this is a mandatory requirement of the proofing process and no production or printing will commence until this process has been followed. Failure to do so in due time can result in your order not being completed and subsequent monies paid will not be refunded.
If, in unfortunate circumstances your stationery is found to have errors on them once received, Elle Bee will not take responsibility for providing replacements, unless these are paid for again in full and we have the capacity to fulfil a replacement order. If proofs are signed off with spelling and grammatical errors on them, it is the responsibility of the customer to arrange replacements.
Under no circumstances will Elle Bee provide replacements for free if errors are found once proofs have been agreed to and signed-off. In instances where replacements are required for this reason, they will be chargeable in full.
Upon completion of the proofing phase, items are immediately committed to print. It is therefore recommended that proofs are only signed off when details are no longer subject to change. Once printed, proofs cannot be changed and any subsequent changes requiring a reprint will result in an order being payable in full.
10. Word & Character Limits
All our stationery items have been created using standardised sizing. With this in mind, please be aware that it may not always be possible to include all the information that you want to provide on your item(s). We will inform you if this is the case upon receipt of your information; it is the client’s responsibility to then pick the most appropriate information to be kept.
To protect stationery in transit, all items are very carefully packaged and leave us in excellent condition. In the highly unlikely event that items are damaged in transit, you must report any damaged items to us within 12 hours of receiving your order.
Any damage reported to us after this period will be classified as damaged after arrival (not due to courier) and will not be replaced. Once reported to us, we will send a Parcelforce shipping label to you by email to attach to the box for it to be shipped back to us.
The label is valid for 7 days only. Failure to take the damaged order to the Post Office within these 7 days will result in this label being null and void and the items will not be collected. In this instance it is the responsibility of the client to then arrange for the items to be sent back at their own expense. Elle Bee will not pay for a second consignment if the client fails to return the item to the Post Office within 7 days.
Dependent upon size and quantities, stationery orders are sent by Royal Mail, or courier. Where applicable a tracking code will be provided.
For digitally-printed table plans and wedding signs only, and where there is a short notice requirement, there may be occasions where orders are sent directly from our printing partners.
Delivery timescales will be communicated to you when preparing your initial quotation or preparing your order for shipment.
Once within the delivery network Elle Bee is not responsible for delivery timescales. Customers will need to contact the relevant shipping party with their tracking code for further information.
Elle Bee is committed to doing its bit for the environment - it is standard practice to re-use delivery boxes obtained from supply orders and use them for client orders.
You will confirm your final delivery address when signing off your proofs. Please note, that due to the delivery method you may be required to sign for your delivery. We cannot take responsibility for any lost items and if an incorrect address is found to be used, no refunds will be issued.
When it comes to sending your own invitations, we would strongly recommend that you use small Jiffy bags for items that have larger embellishments or flowers to protect them in transit. All invitations come with envelopes included however, it is advisable that any invitations whose decoration stand prominent from the invite be further protected. This is the client’s responsibility and jiffy bags are not provided. Elle Bee are not responsible for any damage sustained to invitations during transport to guests.
Elle Bee offers all clients the ability to collect their order, free of charge. Collections can be arranged at the time of quotation and is a bookable service. Where possible, we always recommend collection as the safest way for your order to travel.
Bar digitally-printed table plans and wedding signs, all items ordered from us include a handmade element. This includes – but is not limited to – the cutting and layering of cardstock, tying and folding of ribbons, fixing of embellishments, stamping of wax seals and in-house digital printing.
Given the handmade nature of these items, discrepancies between each item, samples and between the item you receive and what you see on screen – or between a sample and a full completed order – are to be expected.
Elle Bee is not a manufacturer of cardstock, ribbon, embellishments or paper, and are therefore not responsible for any manufacturing differences between individual components, either for items completed in the past, for samples, or pictured for promotional means.
These discrepancies are more likely when ordering Kraft-based items due to the way that Kraft cardstock is manufactured. As a result, you will notice shade differences between each item. Please note this is not a fault with the item and is specific to this type of material.
Materials such as satin ribbon, glitter paper, pebble paper, pearlescent cardstock, paper flowers and wax have been presented on this website as close to the finished and physical item as possible. However, these items may appear differently in person compared to on-screen and are also subject to discrepancies viewing on different devices at different levels of brightness.
Elle Bee cannot be held responsible for any perceived colour discrepancies, or any material discrepancy that sits within acceptable margins on any of the basis’ listed above.
We reserve the right to use pictures of your stationery for advertising and marketing purposes. Any photographs taken of your stationery will be used for Social Media, blog posts and further marketing sites such as - but not limited to - hitched.co.uk and bridebook.co.uk once your order is completed.
If opting for hymns, poems or readings for an Order of Service, clients are responsible for ensuring that permission is granted to use any material that will be included in your wedding stationery and indemnify Elle Bee against any breach of copyright.
Any clients / professional found to be using our designs or found to be copying them will be subject to legal action. Elle Bee will not tolerate illegal use / copying of designs and will use all means at our disposal, including the bringing of charges against those who breach copyright laws.
