Hello everyone,
Over the coming days and weeks we'll be making a number of updates to our website and we'll be doing it step-by-step whilst the website is still live and accepting orders.
So things might be a bit... untidy, just for a little bit.
It's entirely possible that you've been here recently, scoped out a few things and have come back to find things changed. This blog post is here to communicate what is currently being updated and, in our opinion, made a lot better to navigate and understand.
For the sake of transparency, here are all of the changes we're in the process of making with the customer experience being central to everything we're doing.
More transparency
For years we've looked at wedding invitations and stationery on a per-unit basis first, rather than the real price which is for the quantity you actually need.
So we're changing this to ensure that you can see your minimum investment up-front, before you even click or tap on a design to configure an order. This price will be real, and achievable, with the right product selections made.
Not only this, when it comes to configuring an order you'll see directly in the dropdown menus how much the selection you're about to make will cost rather than waiting for the total itself to update.
Scaled Pricing
Pricing will no longer be the same for all quantities; if you need a higher quantity of invitations, for example, the cost per-item will often be significantly reduced.
No matter the size of your order you will always get the same great service as we have never, and will never, treat customers differently on the basis of how much they choose to spend with us.
Simpler Invitation Packages
We've been working hard on reducing the number of decisions you're having to make when configuring your wedding invitation order with us - our goal has been to make this less overwhelming with less fear of getting things wrong.
We also felt our wedding invitation suites could do with being brought into the modern era; less pieces but more intent. So rather than having to pick every each piece, we've created three simple packages depending on what you need:
The Essential Package | Invitation + Small Insert
The ideal approach for a couple with a wedding website taking care of both the RSVP and the communication of all wedding information.
The Classic Package | Invitation + Large & Small Inserts
Perfect for couples that are want either a physical or digital RSVP from guests but want to communicate the finer details on a physical card.
The Signature Package | Invitation + Large, Medium & Small Inserts
As per the Classic Package but with an additional insert that's ideal for an order of the day, map, wedding breakfast menu, day 2 or rehearsal dinner information.
All of these packages will apply whether you're ordering flat digital printing, letterpress, hot foiling or shaped invitation suites, enabling easier cost comparison between the options.
Other combinations are still available upon request.
More Options but Less Admin
Whether it's adding a venue illustration, having us assemble your order or have us work on a rush order basis, these options have always had to be requested manually and separately to your main order. It's been a bit of a faff and we'd prefer you to see these options up-front.
These options are now going to be available when you're placing your order, again with transparent pricing shown up-front.
New Italian Textured Cardstock
We're absolute snobs when it comes to materials and we're not ashamed to say it, especially as we're using these materials for such a special event. We already use some of the country's very best cardstock(s) for invitations and stationery and that will never change.
But we wanted to add something special to the available options which is a beautiful, Italian textured cardstock. Subtly off-white with a lightly hammered finish, this is the perfect cardstock for flat digital printing with text in colour, plus watercolour artwork too.
We'll also be using this new option exclusively for our gatefold and concertina invitations, along with our new range of watercolour, artwork-based designs which we'll be releasing soon.
As always with any updates there's always potential for a teething problem or two! And whilst we're doing our best to mitigate any issues, they may happen along the way - if anything looks weird or isn't working quite as we're suggesting it should, then please let us know so we can get the toolbox out and fiddle with things.
And as we are making these updates piecemeal, some parts of the website might look a little different from others whilst we work our way around all four corners of the site.
