We have some very exciting news to share!
For those that know of our setup, our current studio is attached to the side of our house and it's been good to us. But for a while now we've been hitting our knees on cupboards and there isn't room to swing a cat with all of our machinery, materials and alike.
So we are proud to say that we are going to be moving into a premises; we have the keys, we now just have to fill it!
Our goal is to be fully operational and on-site working by the 27th of February.
We've got a ton of work to do to get everything ready, as whilst we're taking all of our current stuff (our three printers: Betty, Goose and Bertha, then there's Flo: our foiling machine) and everything else we've accumulated over the years.
But one of our other reasons for wanting to move into somewhere separate, with more space, is so we can expand. We'll have a new guillotine on-site, a laser engraving machine will be installed, and we'll be taking delivery of a brand new letterpress machine so we can start providing letterpress stationery, too. We also have our eye on one very exciting bit of kit for later on, but we'll keep that one a secret for now!
And, in true Elle Bee fashion, we're doing this at the busiest time of the year whilst we also ramp up for wedding fair season, including exhibiting at The National Wedding Show at Birmingham NEC. We don't tend to do things by halves.
Having a business premises also means that we hope to bring on-site consults back for couples that want to pay us a visit - watch this space for more info on that.
We'll be based at Stockwood Business Park which sits roughly in-between Worcester, Droitwich and Redditch.
Impact on turnaround times
At time of writing we're on top of our current workload and our hope is that it will very much stay that way. But with a team of only two, there may be a day or two over the coming weeks where we'll be unavailable as there's a lot of logistics involved, a lot of flat pack furniture that needs assembly, and we're currently navigating the murky waters of business energy supply and even murkier energy brokers.
We're really excited about this new development and it's been a long time coming - bear with us over the coming weeks and hopefully over the rest of the year you'll be able to see a bigger and better Elle Bee!
