UPDATE: 3rd November 2022
As an update to the blog post below from a month ago, sadly we have had our first casualties in that neither Biscuit or Old Rose is available to purchase for cardstock and pocketfolds. At time of writing it appears that paper (so this includes belly bands, envelopes and envelope liners) is ok but this is likely to change.

We continue to monitor the situation and work with our supplier to source alternatives where appropriate.

Hi everyone,

Sadly we've recently been made aware of the closure of a large paper mill in the UK with rising energy and material costs being cited as the main reasons for the closure. Our thoughts go out to all of those that are affected by this and have lost their jobs as a result, which is extremely sad.

It's entirely possible that the mill could end up in the hands of another company, which we hope will be the case so that it can continue operating but for now, we just don't know.

There is a knock-on effect for us in that there is going to be a potential shortage for one of our manufacturers that handles some of our colours offered. We are working with our intermediary supplier and are monitoring the situation as closely as we can.

Below are the colours that could be affected by this closure:

In some cases we already have viable alternatives in the other colours we have but, in other cases, we will either have to source a different colour from elsewhere, or there may not be a viable alternative available.

Whilst this is frustrating that we can't be more certain about colour availability, we will continue to monitor the situation and update any customers that are affected by this as soon as we are able to.
