Stationery for making a lasting impression
When it comes to luxury wedding stationery, letterpress and foil press printing makes a stunning impression on your guests.
Our luxury wedding invitations set the tone for your big day, showcasing quality, elegance and attention to detail. They create a lasting impression, reflecting your commitment to a memorable experience for you and your guests, and make your celebration truly special.
Each foiled or letterpressed item is made individually by hand on our vintage presses, so whether it's a save the date or invitation, the journey from design to paper is one that tells a unique story befitting one of life's great milestones.
Our unique print methods combine with a range of elegant, refined and understated designs with a huge amount of flexibility and styling options.
Foiled Wedding Stationery
Often combined with digital printing, foil press - also referred to as hot foil - requires the engraving of a metal plate which is then heated on our press and, individually, pressed into coloured, cotton or handmade paper.
Our foil pressed stationery is handmade by Laura in our Worcestershire studio on our platen press "Florence".
Opt for foiled wedding stationery when you want your save the dates or invitations to truly sparkle.
Letterpress Wedding Stationery
Truly artisanal and traditional, letterpress is the most luxurious printing method we have available.
Each piece is individually made on our restored press to ensure every item is unique, and completed to exacting standards.
Meet the Team
Foiling and letterpress requires traditional machines to achieve exceptional results for your wedding stationery. Along with Laura, this is the team that brings our foiled and letterpress wedding stationery to life.
Florence
Florence, or Flo for short, is our hot foil platen press. Flo has been on-site with us since 2020 and is our foiling workhorse.
The process for hot foiling requires the engraving of a magnesium plate, this is then placed onto the press and heated to around 100 celsius.
The impression and alignment is manually set to ensure a consistent print, with each piece being printed by hand one at a time.
Here she is with Laura being used to foil press the outside of black pocketfolds for a client in gold.
Lawrence
Lawrence was made in 1892 when letterpress was a defacto standard of printing. We have had him meticulously restored to new, enabling us to create luxurious, traditional stationery in a unique, artisanal way.
There are no plugs with Lawrence, all power is generated through mechanical elements with inking, impression and printing all entirely manual, piece-by-piece.
The press is traditionally set, inked and prepared for each print run - which in itself can take an hour or two - with each piece then fed and printed by hand.
