Slate Coasters are approximately 10cm square and 1cm thick. However, due to the nature of slate, these sizes can deviate by as much as +/- 30%.
Our Slate Coasters are made out of Natural finished slate.
Because of its natural features, each coaster may be a different thickness. This is not an error with manufacturing, but a tolerance accepted with this type of material.
We UV print on Slate. UV Printing gives a professional printed finish in full colour. We add an additional Matte Coating to protect the print and also give it further protection from wear and tear.
Due to the natural unevenness of the surface of slate, some areas may not print fully, or not be as vibrant. This is not a fault with the print, and is a tolerated limitation of the product.
All our slate products are ready to ship when in stock. Lead time therefore for shipping is 1-2 days. Please allow up to an additional 3-4 days for Royal Mail to Deliver them.
We send them Royal Mail Tracked 48 but this is not a guaranteed service, so please do allow and extra day or 2 for delivery.
Tracking codes are provided in your dispatch email.
Run under a luke warm tap to remove dirt and dust or stains. Wipe gently with a clean cloth with no soap or detergent. DO NOT RUB or you will damage the coaster and the print.
Do not expose to extreme cold.
Natural Slate contains Pyrite, or "Fool's Gold" and can sometimes be seen on the surface. Do not pick or attempt to remove this as you will damage the Coaster.
We supply both Raw edge and Linea edge slate.
Raw edge - rough unfinished edges, prone to flaking but has a more natural finish.
Linea Edge - sanded smooth for a flat, clean edge. Prevents flaking and is more durable.
